The Skinned alive 'philosophy'.
As you grow up you find yourself doin’ things in the internet. If you are a music fanatic and need to share your feelings about songs, gigs and shit like that, you soon need a nickname to let every other geek recognize you as THAT peculiar geek.
I chose mine in the late 90s. I found myself thinking about which was my ‘favoruite song’ (as if one could possibily have a favourite song), and I decided it was Man-Size by Polly Jean Harvey. To me, the lyrics to Man-Size were a gold mine. That female character described in the song was so inspiring and stimulating: she refused to play her own part, she decided to become a man and act in a mannish way just to rewrite her body and her moves. To gain a new size is here to get a new dimension in terms of existence. I was trying to catch the same feeling, so I decided to call it a Beppi-Size, aka a size of my own. But before wearing a new skin, you have to get rid of the old one and remain skinned alive for a while.
I’m coming up man-sized
Skinned alive
I want to fit
I’ve got to get Man-sized
I’m heading on
Handsome
Got my leather boots on
Got my girl and she’s a wow
I cast my iron knickers down
Man-size no need to shout
Can you hear can you hear me now
I’m man-sized
Man-sized
I’ll measure time
I’ll measure height
I’ll calculate
My birthright
Good lord I’m big
I’m heading on
Man-sized
Got my leather boots on
Got my girl and she’s a wow
I cast my iron knickers down
Man-sized no need to shout
Can you hear can you hear me now
My babe looking cool and neat
I’m pretty sure, good enough to eat
I’m man-sized no need to shout
Let it all let it all hang out
I’m man-size
Man-size X7
Silence my lady head
Get girl out of my head
Douse hair with gasoline
Set it light and set it free
Silence my lady head
Get girl out of my head
Douse hair with gasoline
Set it light and set it free
